Beth Baker

My name is Mrs. Beth Baker, and I am the Alt School High School English teacher. With 17 years in education, my journey has taken me through a Bachelor’s in Middle Grades and a Master’s in Reading Education K-12, but my true degree is in "loving my students".

I believe that every student who walks through my door should feel important, seen, and cared for. To make sure we start every day on the right foot, we begin each class by sharing "Good Things". Focusing on the positive helps us practice gratitude and ensures everyone feels like a valued member of our classroom family. While we will dive deep into literature, my absolute favorite thing to teach is kindness to others.
