Welcome! I am excited to be teaching fourth grade and look forward to a wonderful year of learning and growth with my students. This is my tenth year in education, and I have enjoyed teaching students across several grade levels. I spent two years teaching first grade, followed by three years in third grade, and I am now thrilled to continue my journey in fourth grade. Each experience has helped me grow as an educator and strengthened my passion for creating a positive, engaging classroom where every student feels supported and encouraged to succeed.
I was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia, and am a proud graduate of the Lowndes County School System. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, I later earned my Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Georgia Southwestern State University. I enjoy finding new ways to make learning meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable for my students while helping them build confidence both academically and personally.
Outside of the classroom, I married my husband in 2019, and together we have two wonderful sons who keep us busy and smiling. Our family also includes two beloved dogs, Russell and Millie. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, painting, and spending quality time with my family. I believe that strong relationships between home and school are essential to student success, and I look forward to partnering with families to make this a positive, rewarding, and memorable school year for every student.
