Hello and welcome to First Grade! My name is Autumn Miller! I am so excited to be a part of the Lowndes County School System. This is my 9th year teaching first grade and my third year at Dewar Elementary. I would like to take a moment and tell you a little about myself.
Hello and welcome to First Grade! My name is Autumn Miller! I am so excited to be a part of the Lowndes County School System. This is my 9th year teaching first grade and my third year at Dewar Elementary. I would like to take a moment and tell you a little about myself.
I graduated in 2011 with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. I began working on my Master's degree in Early Childhood the summer prior to my student teaching and also graduated in 2013 from VSU.

In 2015, I began working on my Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have since completed all of my course work and am now working on my dissertation. In addition to those degrees, I also have the following endorsements: Reading, Gifted, ESOL, and Online Teaching. I firmly believe that research and keeping up to date with education will help me to be an effective and efficient teacher. I am constantly searching for new and better ways to teach my students.
