I was born in Albany, Georgia and came here to attend Valdosta State. I have my Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Mild Disabilities, my Master's degree in Early Intervention, and my Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am beginning my 23rd year of teaching at Pine Grove Elementary. I have taught all grades at Pine Grove from kindergarten to fifth grade.
On a personal note, I was married to my husband, Dale for 29 years, when he passed away in January 2023. We have two daughters, Meaghan and Makayla. Meaghan is a Kindergarten teacher here at Berrien Primary School in Nashville, Georgia. She is getting married in September. Makayla is a registered ICU nurse at South Georgia Medical Center. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going to the beach and Disney World.
