Meet Mrs. Hiers

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Hiers and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year!  I have been teaching for 27 years in the Brooks County and Lowndes County school systems.  I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grade.  

I am married to my wonderful husband, Kevin, who is a CPA at Henderson & Godbee in Valdosta. We have three beautiful girls Katherine, 20, Caroline, 15, and Audrey, 12.  

One of our favorite things to do is to travel as a family.  Our most exciting trip was across the country to California.  We spent 16 days traveling and visited 18 states.  We saw many amazing places such as the Grand Canyon, the Alamo, the St. Louis Arch, and Yellowstone National Park.  It even snowed in the middle of June while we were in Yellowstone!

In addition to traveling, I love to read mystery novels!  My wish is to instill the LOVE of reading in my students....a love that I still have to this day!
