I have always loved school and learning! This is one reason why I became a teacher. I wanted to share my love for learning new things. I have been teaching for 30+ years. I earned a BSED in middle grades and a BA in psychology from VSU. I went on to earn a master's degree in brain based education from Nova University.
Most of my teaching career has been at the fifth grade level. I retired from full time teaching in the year 22/23, but missed the kids so much that I accepted a 49% position for EIP. I now teach k-5 reading and math. I'm honored to share this postition with another retired teacher and friend, Christy Trimble.
I have been married for almost 30 years to my high school sweetheart, Brad Gane. Both of us are Lowndes High graduates. He works from home for Jack Henry and Associates. We have one daughter named True who also graduated from Lowndes High School. She is going to GSU in Savannah to pursue a doctorate in Physical Therapy. As a family, we enjoy traveling. We also love hiking our National Parks and going on other adventures together!
