Hello families, My name is Stephani Deters, and I am so excited to spend this school year with you and your child! I am originally from the beautiful central coast of California and now call Georgia home with my wonderful family. I am a proud mom of five awesome children, and most of them attend Pine Grove Elementary School. My oldest will be at Lowndes High School this year.

This will be my fifth year teaching Kindergarten, and I have also taught first and second grade. I absolutely love working with young learners and watching them grow in confidence, creativity, and knowledge throughout the year.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family, reading a good book, and being outdoors. The beach is one of my favorite places to relax and make memories with my kids.

I can’t wait to get to know your child and partner with your family this year. We are going to have an amazing year full of learning, laughter, and fun!

Hello! My name is Janice Hamel, and I am thrilled to be joining Ms. Deters’ kindergarten class as a para educator this year. I’m celebrating my 12th year in education—including 8 years teaching, 3 years as a school nutrition director, and now a brand-new adventure supporting students alongside Ms. Deters. I’ve been happily married for 11 years and am a proud mom of two wonderful children. My favorite colors are pink and purple, and when I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me baking, crafting, or reading. I’m looking forward to helping make this a fun, caring, and engaging year in kindergarten together!
