In 1999, I earned my Early Childhood Education degree from Valdosta State University. Over the past 25 years, I've dedicated myself to teaching, with the last eight years focused on children with special needs. Now, I'm embarking on a new journey as a Life Skills teacher at Clyattville Elementary School. My passion lies in understanding how students learn best and fostering their emotional well-being. Witnessing students find their voice, advocate for themselves, and grow socially brings me immense joy.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and pets, attending live music events, and contributing to the Junior Auxiliary community service organization. I've been honored as a nominee for the Life Changer of the Year award twice, recognized as Teacher of the Month by WCTV, and was included as one of the 250 most inspirational teachers by Ellen DeGeneres.
