About Me
I have a deep passion for children and teaching! My educational journey began in 1995 at Hahira Elementary School, where I had the pleasure of being a classroom teacher for second, third, and fourth grades. Currently, I am providing gifted services at HES for grades 1-5. It brings me immense joy to be part of the Discovery program once again this year!
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University and a Master of Science degree in Education specializing in Brain Research from Nova Southeastern University. I find it exhilarating to present ideas and materials to students that not only enhance but also extend beyond the standard curriculum. The goals for our program consist of developing research skills, creative thinking and creative problem solving, critical thinking, logical thinking, communication skills, and understanding of self and interactions with others. With high expectations, enthusiastic attitudes, and a spirit of teamwork, I am confident that we can create a memorable year for each child!
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, college football, and cherishing moments with family and friends, especially at the beach. I am married to Joe Denly, and together we have five wonderful children and a fantastic son-in-law: Joseph, Abby and Charlie, Sam, Bella, and Maddie. We are also delighted to be the proud grandparents of our precious grandchildren: Charlie Jr., Lucy James, and Jack!
