My name Mrs. Koryn Bearrentine.
I am thrilled to teach second grade at PGES, where what seems like many moons ago, I attended the old PGE as a student!
After receiving my A.S. in Middle Grades Education from Georgia Military College, I returned to PGE. While earning my B.S. in Elementary Education from Valdosta State University, I served as a Special Education Paraprofessional in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade classrooms.
I find joy in watching students overcome challenges they thought would end in defeat. Using a few sayings passed down from great leaders that have shaped me into the educator I am today; “Mind Over Matter, and Practice Makes Permanent”, my students will be able to accomplish anything they put their mind to.
Dress up days have always been my favorite days! I love finding ways to create themed classroom transformations to engage students. I consider it an honor to know and learn from so many incredible teachers and staff members at PGE and I look forward to the best school year yet!
