Hello, my name is Elijah Curtis. It is my pleasure to start my second career off this year at Hahira Middle School as a 6th Grade Teacher of Special Education . The Lowndes County School district strives to make a positive learning environment for all students, and I am grateful to be a part of OneLowndes. I received an Master's degree in Education from Valdosta State University, and I am an alumnus of Lowndes High School. Also, I am pursuing my Specialist in Middle Grades Education at Georgia State Southwestern University. My professional goal this year is to, provide my students with a safe space to learn and celebrate their progress towards each of their goals. Along side teaching, I am the head 6th grade football coach wrestling coach, and boy's track team. I believe that all of my students have the potential to do whatever they put their minds to. In addition to my school life, I am a senior pastor at Crusaders Church in Quitman, GA. Also, I am a man that believes in people and family.
