Meet the Teacher

Hi! My name is Ashlie McWaters. I am a 3rd Grade teacher at Lake Park Elementary. This is my seventh year of teaching. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in May of 2019 from The University of Phoenix. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education at Columbus State University in December of 2021. I am so excited to continue my career at the same elementary school I attended. Once a Viking, always a Viking! 

When I am not teaching your sweet children, I am spending most of my time with my husband Ryan and son Nate. Ryan and I have been married for 17 years. We welcomed our son Nate in December of 2017! As a family we enjoy going on trips to the beach and spending our days with extended family and friends. I enjoy reading a good book, shopping, and traveling!
