Lowndes High Archery is a proud member of the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP). We follow all rules and regulations mandated by them. In addition, we also operate on two distinct levels:
1). First, we operate on a club level. This is for amateurs and experts alike who just like to shoot. The atmosphere is casual, and students can receive direct one-on-one instruction on the basics of bow shooting. There are no prerequisites or required training involved. All students are invited! The dues for the club are $25 and include a T-shirt and archery patch at the end of the year.
2). Next, we also operate on a team level. This is for students with more experience and proficiency with archery as a sport. To join the team, a student must attend at least 1 tournament during the district tournament season (September-December), posting an average score within the top 24 in the school. The team will then go on in the spring to participate at the state and national levels. The dues for the team are $50 and include a jersey and tournament entry fees.
