Allotment/Budgets

Funds for Lowndes County Media Centers are derived from state and local funds and are based on standards set by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.  The allotment for each year is determined by the FTE count for the individual schools.  Funds may also be available through the school’s internal account, PTO, book fairs, grants, or federal projects.  

Each year's allotment is intended to be spent in a timely manner so that the library materials benefit the students in the year in which the students attend the schools.
