Hangouts Meet is a videoconferencing tool that is part of the G Suite for Education core services. It permits the teacher to schedule a Meet with students where the class can collaborate online, including video, voice, and presentation from the desktop. Until July 1, Google is making available the premium features of Hangouts Meet that are typically available only to Enterprise users, including the ability to record meetings and save them to Google Drive <--this can be really helpful for recording a session and then making it available for viewing at any time by students who are unable to view the session live.
Simple directions for creating and joining a Google Meet:
VERY IMPORTANT- Be sure that the teacher does not leave the Meeting until all students left the meeting
