Grading Scale:

  • Performances/Unit Exam- 50%
  • Quizzes and Daily Work (participation) - 30%
  • Homework - 20%

Classroom Structure:

  • Students will be graded on their attendance, participation, preparation, quizzes, classwork, homework, and tests
  • We will be using Kodaly hand signs and sight-reading exercises, singing in different languages and a variety of genres, integrating science, English, math, and other subjects, and promoting a growth mindset that will create strong individual musicians who are part of a greater group of musicians
