Hello, my name is Jay Allen. I was born and raised in rural South Georgia and truly enjoy our community of Hahira. I am in my 13th year as the School Counselor at Hahira Elementary and 19th year overall in education; with previous experience at the middle school level in Colquitt County. Prior to education I worked for 5 years in state law enforcement; primarily with the Georgia Department of Pardons and Paroles as a Parole Officer. I enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing, mission trips, grilling, exercising, and spending time with my wife and 3 boys. I'm blessed and excited to be able to work with you and your children during their elementary school years!
About Hahira Elementary
At Hahira Elementary School, we seek to help instill in our students a hope and a future. When a child possesses hope their life dreams and aspirations become limitless; anything is possible and they will make a difference. Therefore, we are available to assist any student(s) with developing in one or more of the three (3) primary school counseling domains; academic, career, and personal/social/emotional. In order to help facilitate in positive adolescent development, we perform in a wide variety of roles here at HES. We look forward to helping our students any way we can!
