Mary Beth Sebring - Principal

Mrs. Sebring is a dedicated educational leader with more than 18 years of experience serving students, educators, and families across South Georgia. She earned her Bachelor's, Master's, and Specialist degrees from Valdosta State University, along with her Tier I Educational Leadership Certification and Teacher Support and Coaching Endorsement.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Sebring has served as a classroom teacher, interventionist, instructional coach, assistant principal, and, most recently, principal. Her experience spans instructional leadership, school improvement, teacher development, student support services, and data-driven decision-making. As Assistant Principal at Dewar, she provided leadership for programs including RTI, EIP, PBIS, special education, Section 504, school improvement planning, teacher support, and statewide assessment coordination.
Known for her collaborative and servant-hearted approach to leadership, Mrs. Sebring is committed to building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners. She believes every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and works to create a culture where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Ashley Berry - Assistant Principal
Mrs. Ashley Berry is a dedicated educational leader with more than 15 years of experience supporting students, teachers, and school systems through behavior intervention, special education leadership, instructional support, and professional learning. She joins Dewar Elementary from Valdosta City Schools, where she served in multiple leadership roles focused on trauma-informed practices, positive behavior supports, instructional coaching, and equitable student support systems. Throughout her career, she has led staff development, mentored educators, and supported schools in creating safe, supportive learning environments where all students can thrive.
Mrs. Berry also brings extensive experience in MTSS implementation, crisis intervention, and behavior support systems, and is certified as a Mindset De-escalation and Restraint Instructor. Her leadership is grounded in strong relationships, collaboration, empathy, consistency, and high expectations for student success.
