Hello!

My name is Jessica Barnes and I am your child's Special Education teacher at Hahira Elementary School. This is my 12th year of education and my first year at Hahira Elementary. I have experience teaching students PreK - 12th grade, serving in various roles such as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, a Special Education Co-Teacher, Pre-K Special Education teacher for community based students and a Special Education Compliance Coordinator. This year I will be co-teaching in Kindergarten and 5th grade. 

I am married to my husband, Dan, of twelve years and we have a son named Smith (9) , a daughter named Caroline (7) and a wild but lovable pup named Goose. As a family we enjoy traveling, being outdoors and can most often be found cheering on our kiddos at their sporting events. 

I consider myself a life long learner and make every effort to learn something new that will assist me in sharpening my instructional practices for your child's success. 

As an alumni of Lowndes County Schools and Lowndes High Georgia Bridgemen,  I am excited to be returning "home" to Hahira Elementary School and look forward to meeting you!
