Cell Project

You work for PGE Science Department. The department received some slide samples of animal and plant cells. The boxes they were in busted open and now they are mixed up. You and your co-worker need to create a drawing of a plant cell and a drawing of an animal cell so everyone in the department can help identify and sort the slides into different sections. Use the Shepherds Software Cell website to gather the needed information. You and co-worker will complete the task listed below.

1. Decide which of you will complete a plant cell drawing and an animal cell drawing.

2. Use the Shephards Software Cell website link to gather the needed information of your cell's parts and the parts jobs.

3. Use Google Draw or Paint to draw your cell. Label the parts on the cell and describe their jobs.

Parts to identify are:

cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, cell wall, chloroplasts

4. Imagine our school is a plant cell. Which would represent the parts of the cell?

Get an iPad and take pictures of the parts of the school that would represent each part of a plant cell.
