March is National Youth Art Month, a time when we come together as a community to celebrate the creativity, imagination, and hard work of our young artists. Throughout the school year, students at Dewar Elementary have explored ideas, materials, and techniques to create meaningful works of art. Each student has selected one piece that best represents them as an artist to be featured in this year’s virtual art show.
We invite you to take time to browse the artwork, celebrate your child’s creativity, and experience the joy of art-making at Dewar Elementary. This exhibition is first and foremost a celebration of student voice, effort, and growth, and every child is proudly included.
As part of this celebration, families may choose to participate by having their child’s artwork professionally matted and framed. Framing is completely optional and is simply one way to preserve your child’s artwork as a keepsake while also supporting our school art program. Links to framing information can be found throughout the site.
Funds raised through this art show help provide materials, tools, and experiences that benefit all Dewar students and allow our art program to grow and thrive. Thanks to family and community support, students have enjoyed many meaningful opportunities,
