Jazz Band usually starts up in mid-October. Here is some basic info:
Jazz Band is open to 7th and 8th grade band students who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, and tuba. It is also open to rhythm section players who have had past experience/lessons on (and can read the music for) drum set, rhythm guitar, electric bass, and piano. Other instruments, check with Mrs. Bredwell for options.
Jazz Band meets at 7:00 AM twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This means students need to be able to get to school BEFORE 7:00 so you're in the band room ready to play by 7:00.
Ms. Bredwell will let everyone know all the details you'll need, including exactly when sign-ups will happen and when the first rehearsal will be.
Once Jazz Band is up and running, performance dates will be posted here and in Google Classroom, and sent home with students.
