Welcome Students!

My Name is Caitlyn Hardwick, and I am from Conway, SC. I will be your 7th science teacher this year! As a graduate of the University of South Carolina, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education with an emphasis in Math and Science, and I hold a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University. This will be my 8th year teaching and my 3rd as a virtual school teacher. Throughout my career, I've taught math, science, robotics, coding, and broadcast journalism. Technology is my greatest passion, and I am most passionate about sharing my knowledge with my students and colleagues. Aside from teaching at LCV, I am also the sound engineer for the LCEC podcast, Please Raise Your Virtual Hand. When I'm not teaching or editing podcasts, I enjoy spending time on the water or traveling with my husband and my sweet pup (Clyde)! When the fall season comes around, I enjoy cheering on the Gamecocks! Fun fact about me: I own a business that offers graphic design services as well as photo booth rental services.

In 7th grade science we will have four core areas of focus: Human Body Systems, Cells and Heredity, Ecology, and Chemistry of Materials. I cannot wait to meet each of you and grow together this year!
