2023 Middle School Summer Reading
Welcome to the 2023 Middle School Summer Reading list! We want to inspire a love of books and to develop lifelong readers in our students. Summer provides the perfect opportunity to dive into great books that interest you or to try something new!Â
Middle School students have one required reading selection per grade level, and they are encouraged to read additional selections of their choosing. Students should be prepared to complete an assignment at the beginning of the 23-24 school year for the required reading.
Required:
6th Grade - A book of your choice
7th Grade - A book of your choice
8th Grade - The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin
Advanced 8th Grade - Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
Families are encouraged to discuss student selections, and parents should approve all book choices. For reading suggestions, check out the list of recommendations provided on the Summer Reading website.
