steps to scheduling

Step 1: Complete your Four Year Plan

      • The Four Year Plan is designed to be a rough draft of your high school career. Changes to the plan each year are very common as your interests and academic achievements progress. You are encouraged to update this plan as often as needed, with a minimum of at least once a year.

Step 2: Choose your courses on the Course Selection Form

      • Using the courses from your Four Year Plan, complete your Course Selection Form. Color coded copies will be available at the class meetings and in the Office of School Counseling.
      • Refer to the Course Selection Guide for detailed information on available courses. Pay particular attention to prerequisite and corequisite classes.

Step 3: Obtain teacher recommendation signatures

      • Many courses require a teacher recommendation. A box is provided on the Course Selection Form.

Step 4: Complete Course Selection Google Form

      • Enter all course codes and names in the Google Form. Be sure to enter them carefully! The codes will be used to upload your selections into the system.
      • After you submit your form, you will receive an email with your selections. Keep this for your reference.
      • If you are not currently attending LMS or LHS, you will not have access to the Google Form. Your School Counselor will enter your selections using your Course Selection Form.

Step 5: Submit Applications (if applicable)

      • Complete and submit an application for any course that requires one by the designated due date. Many of the applications are linked in the Course Selection Guide. Others need to be obtained from the teacher of the course.

Step 6: Return completed Course Selection Form

      • Return your completed Course Selection Form by the deadline.
          • Rising 9th Graders - January 16 to your Tiger Time Teacher (or to your Study Hall monitor if you do not have Tiger Time)
          • Rising 10th - 12th graders - January 30 to your Advisory Teacher
          • Students not currently attending LMS or LHS - return your form to the LHS Office of School Counseling as soon as possible
