LES Runners Club will begin right after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 2nd! You will be able to register your 4th grader through Final Forms beginning on Friday, August 22nd. Directions for registering will be found in the LES Newsletter - Tiger Talk. The deadline to register will be Sunday, August 31st. 2025 LES Runners Club Information

Fourth Grade Students,

Are you looking for a way to get some exercise and have some fun after school? Then join the LES Runners Club! The LES Runners Club was established in 2013 and is now in its 14th year.  We are a group of students and staff that run laps around our campus, which is a 1⁄2 mile loop, each Tuesday and Thursday. We will meet out on the playground at dismissal and we will begin our laps by around 3:45. Students must be able to be picked up by 4:30. Due to family commitments by our staff, it is important that each student is picked up out in front of the school by 4:30 each day. Please consider bringing a quick snack and a water bottle, with your name on it, on our running days. If we need to cancel due to weather we will email everyone on our list so parents will know to expect you to be on the bus. So parents, please check emails in the afternoon on questionable days. It is not necessary for students to run every Tuesday and Thursday. However, it is important for you and your parents to communicate to ensure that you have transportation home if you are running. There will always be adults in close proximity, but students are expected to follow the rules and make good choices. If runners do not follow the rules, it can become unsafe and they will not be permitted to participate in the LES Runners Club. We are also inviting parents to join us and help out with the kids. They can walk or run with us. It is a great chance for them to do something healthy along with you.
