steps to scheduling
Step 1: Complete or update your Four Year Plan
The Four Year Plan is designed to be a rough draft of your high school career. Changes to the plan each year are very common as your interests and academic achievements progress. You are encouraged to update this plan as often as needed, with a minimum of at least once a year. Please refer to the LHS Graduation Requirements document for detailed graduation requirements.
Refer to your current transcript of completed courses (found in the Blackboard e-Backpack for rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders) as you make your selections. Use the Four Year Credit Record to track your fulfilled requirements.
Before you begin your plan, refer to the Course Selection Guide for course options and descriptions for each grade level. Remember, this is a rough draft based upon current offerings. New courses may be added throughout your high school career which may impact future choices.
Click on the appropriate link below to access your Four Year Plan Google Form. Once you answer each question and submit your responses, you will receive an email with your plan. Be sure to print your plan for future reference. If you completed one last year, please refer to it as you complete it this year.
NON-LMS Rising 9th Graders: Please use the same link as all rising 9th graders (2026 Four Year Plan).
Step 2: Complete the Recommendation Signatures and Course Planning Form
This form is designed to help you plan for the appropriate number of courses and to obtain your teacher recommendation signatures.
Refer to the Course Offerings lists linked below as you complete the form. For course descriptions and prerequisite/corequisite information, please refer to the Course Selection Guide. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO PREREQUISITE AND COREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS WHEN CHOOSING YOUR CLASSES.
Many courses require a teacher recommendation. A box is provided on the Recommendation Signatures and Course Planning Form for a teacher signature.
Teacher recommendations play a vital role in course selection. However, if there is a discrepancy between the teacher recommendation and the course a student would like to request, an appeal may be made by submitting a Course Placement Override Form. Before submitting the form, please read it carefully. The completed form should be turned in with the Recommendation and Course Planning Form.
Be sure to read the Course Selection Information document linked below before you start the process!

Step 3: Complete and submit the online Course Selection Google Form
Using the courses from your Recommendation Signatures and Course Planning Form, complete and submit the online Course Selection Google Form.
YOU MUST BE LOGGED INTO YOUR SCHOOL GOOGLE ACCOUNT TO ACCESS THE FORM. If you currently do not attend LMS, you will not have a Loveland Google account. Please use the "NON-LMS" link below to complete your form.
Pay close attention to all instructions and enter your information carefully. Once you submit the form, you will not be able to edit it. If you do realize an error after submission, contact your School Counselor.
Step 4: Submit Applications and Additional Forms (if applicable)
Complete and submit an application for any course that requires one by the designated due date. Many of the applications are linked in the Course Selection Guide. Others need to be obtained from the teacher of the course.
Rising seniors wishing to apply for Early Graduation should complete and submit the Early Graduation Form with their Recommendation and Course Planning Form.
Step 5: Return completed Recommendation Signatures and Course Planning Form
Rising 9th graders - due January 27 to your Tiger Time teacher
Rising 10th - 12th graders - due February 4 to your 1st bell teacher
