- The Thriving Families Fund offers assistance of up to $500 to our PLAN parent leaders and their families during the COVID-19 Pandemic as they face short-term emergencies.

- Go Public Schools Oakland has developed Frequently Asked Questions for families on the Economic Impact Payment, a one-time stimulus check to help provide some financial aid during this COVID-19 crisis:

Unemployment Insurance Claim
- For those whose employer has reduced hours or shut down operations due to COVID-19. Provides partial wage replacement. Parents taking care of kids whose schools have closed may be eligible for benefits.

- Autism Research Institute
  - The Autism Research Institute provides support for families with children with special needs with webinars about the uncertainty and sudden changes caused by COVID-19.
Anthem Blue Cross Flu Shot Clinics
- Anthem Blue Cross is hosting partnerships with different clinics for drive-thru flu shots. The flu shot is at no-cost and is open to anyone including those who are not Anthem members. If available, insurance card and photos IDs are recommended upon arrival.
East Bay Meditation Center Calendar
- Founded to provide a welcoming environment for people of color, members of the LGBTQI community, people with disabilities, and other underrepresented communities, the East Bay Meditation Center welcomes everyone seeking to end suffering and cultivate happiness.

Virtual Oakland Fatherhood Support Groups (Every Wednesday from 5PM - 7PM)
- Alameda County Fatherhood Initiative invites fathers, father figures, and any man involved in a child's life to a virtual fatherhood group to have great discussions about men's health, child support education, father's rights and more!

Food Access

OUSD Free Fresh Produce Home Delivery
- After you sign up to receive your four free home deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables, we will contact you with your delivery day and time. The driver will contact you 5-10 minutes before arriving, on your delivery day. The box will be placed on your front doorstep unless you give us other instructions below.

WIC Services (English flyer)
- WIC serves pregnant & post-partum women, infants, and children under the age of 5. Services include supplemental food benefits, breastfeeding assistance, free dental check-up for children, and more. To find out if families qualify, please call 510-595-6400.
City of Oakland Food Distribution
- Summer Food Service Program
  1. Free breakfast and lunch for “Grab and Go” pick up and “Drive Thru” food distribution.

All food distributions are with no contact and social distancing.

- 1. Parents and guardians may pick up meals for multiple days without children present. There are no program requirements or paperwork to complete to benefit from the program. All kids 18 and under and adults with disabilities enrolled in a school program can receive meals. Sites can also be found by using the “CA Meals for Kids” app for smartphones to locate a free food distribution site.
Alameda County Food Bank

PRESCOTT-JOSEPH CENTER FOOD PANTRY
- Offering food boxes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 2 pm, and the 4th Saturday at 9 am in the parking lot behind St. Patrick Parish, 1023 Peralta Street, Oakland.

POINTS OF LIGHT: Grocery Deliveries
- Delivering groceries to families with youth & children who do not have any means of transportation between the hours of 8am-12pm.

Early Head Start & Head Start Program (English/Spanish flyer)
- Brighter Beginnings is now accepting applications for their Early Head Start and Head Start program for both English and Spanish speaking families that live in Oakland with children 0-5 or expecting mothers. Enrollment includes weekly virtual home visits with parent education and parent-child activities.
