Who: Students will bring a device from home to use in the classroom beginning in grade 6. The same device will be used in seventh and eighth grade.
What: Students will need a device such as a Chromebook or a laptop. For more information about the program, please see the BYOD website Devices must have: access to Google Drive, keyboarding capability and Internet access.

Our classroom has a limited set of Google Chromebooks for student use, but we also encourage students to bring their own device if possible. We use Google Classroom for many of our class assignments. This allows students to access assignments, work on their Google Drive, and submit assignments all using the Google Chromebooks we have in our classrooms. In Google Drive we mainly use Google Docs (word processor) and Google Slides (presentation/power point). All of these are saved to each student's Google Drive, allowing them to access their work from any computer, they simply need to login using their Los Al Student portal.
