Friends Of The CDC

Our Friends of the CDC's (FOCDC) mission is to initiate, sponsor, promote and carry out plans, policies and activities which will support the quality of the Los Alamitos Child Development Center. There are no dues to be a member, but we need volunteers and financial donations to support initiatives in our children's early learning. All net proceeds of events/donations go directly to supporting staff development, increasing parent involvement, and purchasing educational materials and curriculum. FOCDC have been a huge financial support for our program here at the Los Alamitos School District. Over the years, they have raised funds and donations to assist the classrooms in providing quality materials that engage and add to the education and development of the children. Every Year, we ask at least 1 room representative to attend monthly meetings at the District office. Monthly meetings are held at the Los Alamitos School District Office on the 1st Thursday of every month from 6:30-7:30PM. Children are welcome to come along! These meetings are a time to request materials, collaborate ideas on community events, etc. If you are interested in being McGaugh's CDC voice with the Friends of the CDC please contact me.
