In honor of April Fool's Day, a day of fun and jokes, we decided to make Silly Putty! We searched the Internet for different DIY recipes until we found one that used ingredients that we actually had around the house. We chose this one, made with dish soap and cornstarch.

- 1/4 cup dish soap
- 1/3 cup slightly heaping corn starch
Instructions
Instructions
- Put the corn starch in a small bowl.
- Slowly add the dish soap to the corn starch.
- Mix together using a spoon.
- If it's too wet, add more corn starch. If it's too dry, add more dish soap.
- When it gets too hard to stir, use your hands to kneed the rest together.
Our Observations:

- It doesn't bounce.
- It does break apart smoothly.
- It kind of stretches slowly (but eventually, just breaks).
- It's satisfying to roll around in your hands!
- It smells clean.
- It feels more like playdough than Silly Putty.
- Clean-up is super easy! It is mostly made of soap after all. :)
