Make a Wizard Wand

The Challenge:

I am a big Harry Potter fun. I've read all of the books twice and seen the movies many times. So, today's challenge is inspired by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter ...Using materials you find around the house, make your very own wizard wand!

A quick Google search for "DIY Harry Potter wand" will bring back a lot of different resources. Here are some of the tips we found useful:

• Use a stick from the yard or a chopstick as your base.

• Create texture with hot glue or string (dipped in white glue).

• Optional: Add beads or other small objects for more detailed designs.

• Paint a base coat on the wand (spray paint or acrylic work well)

• Add details with a paint brush. Glitter can be a fun touch too!
