In honor of May 4th and Star Wars fans everywhere ... today's challenge is to use materials that you find around your house to design and build your own droid (or robot). Make a sketch and then see what materials you can find to bring your droid to life! Try recycling old toys, electronic parts, or any craft materials you can find or reuse.

A droid is a fictional robot possessing some degree of artificial intelligence in the Star Wars science-fiction franchise. Coined by special effects artist John Stears, the term is a clipped form of "android", a word originally reserved for robots designed to look and act like a human.
