What are we learning in first grade

We will cover all of the First Grade Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Please refer to the monthly newsletter sent via Remind to see what we are learning in each subject that month.

Expectations & Procedures

Students are expected to be respectful to the school and those around them. Students should take responsibility for their actions. At the beginning of the year we explicitly teach these expectations through the use of Juan Pablo character lessons and build on these throughout the year.

Grading policy

First grade uses a standards base grading system. We follow a 9 week grading schedule, starting in the second 9 weeks we will send progress reports once during each term.
