Hello! I'm Mr. Fox, and I teach computer science, roboticsm and engineering at Lorena High School. My wife and I moved to Lorena in 2019 with our daughter and son. We also have two dogs and two cats. Most of my family lives in Waco, Tyler, Georgetown, and Mansfield, but everyone is in Texas. I went to high school at Tyler John Tyler. I was an IB student and attended THLP, now know as the Governor's School which picks 100 select Texas high school juniors the summer before their senior year. I played orchestra, jazz band, honor society, theater, soccer as was kicker for the football team who advanced to the state championship my senior year, ultimately losing to Katy.
While in undergrad at Texas Tech, I was recommended and earned an internship developing code and content for ttu.edu as well as working with iTunes in preparation for content shared on the popular iPods and soon the first iPhone. I earned a Bachelor's degree from Tech "RAIDER POWER!" and a Master's degree from Tarleton State University. After years of working in the oilfield as a drilling fluids engineer, the industrial and medical gas supply industry, and the welding, engineering and robotics world, I reflected on what I enjoyed most about my career, which is teaching and helping others grow. I am also a soccer referee for high school, college, and elite leagues in Dallas/Austin. Last year was my first year to try out refereeing high school football and baseball may be next...
I enjoy going for jogs, building puzzles, movies that make you think, and learning more everyday.
