Hello!  Welcome to my class webpage.  Hopefully this will be a helpful source of information for you during this year.

This will be my third year at Lorena Primary.  I joined the community two years ago as an Instructional Aide working with each grade level during the year in the classroom and in Tier 2 Intervention.  I ended the year teaching First Grade.   Last year was my first year officially on the First Grade team. I am so very excited to be in First Grade again this year!

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Baylor University and am currently certified EC-4 Generalist in the State of Texas.  I have taught for a combined 4 years, most of that time in a private school in town, teaching 1st and 2nd grades. After some time in a different field, I took almost a year off after adopting my beautiful daughter, Ruth.  She begins Kindergarten this year at Lorena Primary.  When she was 10 months old, I began working at a MDO in Waco, and was quickly promoted to Assistant Director and finally Director, until I left in 2021 to begin working here.

My husband and his family are Lorena Leopards, so moving to Lorena and raising our daughter here was a priority for our family.  We have enjoyed getting involved in the local community in the past year and look forward to continuing to grow the relationships that make Lorena such a wonderful community.

In my time away from school, I enjoy playing family games, cooking, reading, family swim nights, spending time with friends, singing, and laughing until I can hardly breathe.
