Grading Policy

The following is the Grading Policy for Mrs. Stone's Grade 7 & 8 ELA classes

• All ELA grades will be on a point system with more significant work worth a greater number of points. Consult the grade portal for current averages of each trimester.

• Graded assignments will include homework, classwork, quizzes, tests, and projects.

• Late work will receive a 10% deduction for each day that it is late. No credit will be given after 10 school days or after the trimester ends.

• If you are absent, you will have the number of days absent to make up daily work, quizzes and tests. (This does not necessarily apply to long-term projects.) If an absence is pre-planned, the expectation is that every effort will be made for work to be completed prior to absence.
