Loop Abroad requires that all students have travel medical insurance. Your primary insurance may already cover medical charges abroad. Please check with your provider and make sure your insurance meets our requirements.
Below is our standard travel insurance recommendations.

Loop Abroad requires that all students have medical insurance that covers them during their time abroad. If you do not have a plan that covers your time in the country you're visiting, you can purchase travel medical insurance.
Here is what Loop Abroad suggests if you are using travel medical insurance to meet your Loop Abroad Medical insurance requirements:
$50,000 in primary medical coverage
At least $1 million in medical evacuation coverage
A zero-dollar deductible

You are not required to purchase travel medical insurance from Squaremouth.
Keep in mind that trip cancellation coverage will increase the price of your plan a lot, and is not required by Loop Abroad.

Click Emergency Medical and choose $50,000 or more
Click Medical Evacuation and choose $1,000,000 or more
Look at the policy results. On the right, next to the price, click where it says "Policy Detail"
In the window that pops up, scroll down to the Medical section
Next to Medical Deductible, click Select Options
Under Medical Deductions, choose $0 per occurrence (this will cause the price to raise slightly from the estimate you just saw)
Click Buy Now, and Continue to Purchase
You should note that coverage is limited for pre-existing conditions and activities such as rafting and ziplining are not covered.
Once you purchase your policy, please upload it in CampDoc as your proof of insurance (CampDoc available soon).
This is travel medical insurance--it does not cover everything that might happen when you are traveling. Travel insurance is separate and not required by Loop Abroad. If you wish to purchase travel insurance to cover things like lost or damaged luggage, you can do so on Squaremouth as well.
