Upcoming Field Trip Sign Up

Ready for a Field Trip? Use the links below to sign up for upcoming Home Link field trips and activities. Be sure to check the details for each event, including dates, times, costs, and registration deadlines.

Field Trips costs are covered for students, however most are available for the entire family to attend. We will ask how many to expect other than the student, some venues have limited space. And we will list costs for parents and siblings so you know what to expect. Typically, parents will take care of their portion with the venue.

Current Health History and Field trip release forms are required to have on file in order to register for field trips. Complete for each student enrolled. Please email these to tsimmons@loonlakeschool.org prior to signing up.
If there are too few students signed-up, we will cancel the field trip and notify those registered no later than the day prior.
You represent our program too! Respectful behavior towards staff and facilities at our sites is expected.
Parents must remain with children during field trips.

Children under 2 are free. Parents and siblings have priority for extra tickets. Cancellations must be made by Oct 26 for a refund to the Home Link student fund.

As with all Field Trips, Parents must supervise children at all times.

Weekly Contact

Weekly Contact is a required part of Home Link enrollment and helps teachers stay connected to each student’s learning. Each week, before Tuesday at noon for Distance students or at onsite classes for Onsite students, the student communicates directly with their Home Link teacher about what they are learning or working on in their Student Learning Plan.

For most students, this is a simple email sharing what they learned in Math, Language Arts and another SLP subject. It can also include a question they have, or something they found interesting or challenging. Weekly Contact must be between the student and teacher (not just the parent and teacher) and is used to document continued participation and progress in the Home Link program.

Monthly Reviews

Monthly Reviews are due on or before the 15th of most months (December and April will be earlier). Reviews are open as of the 1st of the month.

New! Resource Library Hours

We are excited to announce that we will be trying out a new service at the Home Link! We have a small, but treasure filled, resource library that we’d like to open up for you to check-out materials in person.

Shannon, our Instructional Resources Coordinator, will be available to check materials out to you on the first Monday of each month, between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm. You can return or borrow new books during that time.

Material Orders

Home Link can purchase approved instructional materials that are needed to support the learning goals identified in a student’s Student Learning Plan (SLP). Families may submit material requests during the ordering period, which begins at the start of the school year and generally continues through late winter. Specific ordering dates will be shared with families each year.

Deadline for fall orders is November 30.
