I graduated from UNK in 2013 with my bachelor's in Secondary Education. I started my teaching career in Houston, TX for 2 years, then came back to Nebraska to teach in Mullen for 3 years. Then finally landed in Holdrege, NE where my husband teaches 6th grade Science and I had the opportunity to come join the Wolves pack last year. I am currently going for my Master's in Learning, Design and Technology through the online program at UNK.
I met my husband at UNK and got married right before we moved to Houston. We have been married for 10 years and have three beautiful girls, three crazy but fun-loving dogs, and a small but mighty guinea pig. We live in Holdrege so my daughters, Bethany, 9, is a 4th grader and Madalyn, 7, is a 2nd grader at Loomis. Brynlee, 2, is going to Young Believers daycare.
Bethany and Brynlee has Angelman Syndrome (AS). It has to do with the mutation/deletion of the 15th chromosome, gene UBE3A. Angels typically have developmental delays, seizures, a happy demeanor, sleep problems, lack of speech, and balance issues. Bethany always lights up a room with her beautiful smile! She's also very friendly and loves hugs. We are excited for Brynlee because she seems to already be so different than how Bethany started out.
