Longview School District
Running Start Agreement
Students must be a junior or senior in high school.
Running Start classes may not overlap with high school classes. Running Start students will not be excused from high school classes in order to attend LCC classes.
A student participating in Running Start is starting a permanent college transcript.
Grades issued by the college cannot be changed or altered by the high school.
Students must maintain a 2.0 quarterly GPA at LCC or they will be placed on academic probation.
Students must have their EVF form signed on the registration day to register for their next quarter classes. It is up to the student to be aware of the date of this for each quarter. LCC will send out a reminder. Students who do not attend the scheduled registration day may result in a delay of their EVF being signed at the high school.
Students MAY participate in high school sports if they maintain full time enrollment and meet WIAA rules. Please see your high school Athletic Director for details.
Students are responsible for all non-tuition costs such as book and lab fees for Running Start.
Running Start students are responsible for obtaining information regarding high school activities, daily schedule changes, and deadlines by reading the daily bulletin, checking your school email, and other posted information on the school website.
Running Start students may only be on their high school campus during the time they have class during the regular school day.
Running Start students are responsible for all Advisory lessons. Advisory lessons are posted in Google classroom.
LCC is on a quarter system and the high schools are on a semester system - the end dates do not match so it is up to the student to be aware of dates and deadlines.
