IXL- Independent practice

Use this link to get to your IXL account. All related skills to our unit with be starred so they are easy to find under 4th and 5th grade skills. During MATH WORKSHOP, you will sometimes be asked to log in to IXL to practice and review math skills.

You will need my teacher email to log in (jmanna@longmeadow.k12.ma.us). All username and password information has been taped into the FRONT of your agenda notebook!

Here are a few great videos to watch at home to help with what we are currently learning in math. Our main learning objectives for this unit are:

  • Write numerical expressions for word problems
  • Identify matching numerical expressions for word problems
  • Translate numerical expressions from word form
  • Translate word form expressions to numerical form
  • Simplify (solve) expressions using the order of operations (PEMDAS)
  • Identify, describe, and continue numerical patterns
  • Graph ordered pairs on the coordinate grid
