Center School Family Guide

It's time to get ready for 2024-2025! 

As I write this, it is the final day of the 2023-2024 school year. My fourth 1st grade class has left for summer vacation and the students who were my first 1st grade class are looking ahead to fifth grade. I'm so excited that I will be with the fifth grade team for my first group's final year at Center! It's a group of students and families who hold a very special place in my heart.

I have seven years of experience teaching fifth grade, five of them in Massachusetts. I'm looking forward to rediscovering previous projects and activities as well as launching the new ELA curriculum. I'm looking forward to working, again, with students who are the leaders of their elementary school. Older, wiser, more skilled, and very importantly, still children. Fifth grade is a child's last year to be a little kid still, and I love the balance of nurturing those little kids while also preparing them for the more mature, more independent world of middle school. 

I am so excited to welcome you into my classroom on the first day of school! It's going to be a great year. :-)

Throughout the summer, I will continue to learn and plan for the incoming fifth graders. Feel free to reach out with any questions or just to introduce (or reintroduce) yourself.
