Given: Semester
Open to Seniors
Prerequisite Minimum grade average, completion of a particular course, teacher recommendation, etc
This semester course provides students with a unique opportunity to imagine, plan, and produce a self-identified culminating interdisciplinary project that is teacher-guided, but self-directed. In this experiential, inquiry-based course, students will be required to apply research methodology, review relevant literature, collect data, provide original analysis, and problem-solve to bridge theory with practice. As students work both independently and collaboratively with the school and the larger community, they will be expected to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in their project. Students will be required to present their final products which will be interdisciplinary in design and likely include some combination of, but not limited to, the following: a multimedia presentation, performance, portfolio, exhibit, or a research paper.
