Meet the Math Coaches

Ms. Berry began her career teaching 8th-grade math and algebra. When she saw her students struggling to solve algebraic equations while still counting on their fingers, she knew she wanted to help as many students as possible to feel confident and successful in math. After nine years as the Math Specialist at Blueberry Hill School, Miss Berry was excited to take on a new role in 2022 and begin work with teachers and students at all three elementary schools! In addition to teaching math, Miss Berry loves spending time with family, gardening, and trips to Lake George, NY! 

Mrs. Powell began her teaching career in Seattle in 1991. In 2003 she started teaching at Wolf Swamp Road School where she taught fourth grade for one year and first grade for eighteen years. She began her role as the K-2 math coach for all three elementary schools in 2022 and now enjoys working with teachers and students all over Longmeadow!
