Fishing
Raglan has several daily fishing charters for individuals or groups. Each charter captain knows all the best, and secret, fishing spots. There's some big fish in Raglan!
Moon Gazing
Once a month you can sit out at Ngarunui Reserve and catch a full moon over the Indicators, Whale and Manu Bays for stunning photos and views of the Left Hand Break.
Dining
So spoilt for choice when it comes to food. Raglan Harbour Vew Hotel is famous for pub grub and great fun, but there's a ton of restaurants to cater for all tastes and budgets.
Paddle Boarding
Paddle boarding is serious fun and you can safely learn in Raglan Harbour and explore the pancake rocks to see Raglan's ancient geology. You can hire the gear locally or bring your own, and get lessons.
Arts & Crafts
Raglan Arts School hosts a range of arts, Sunday markets, classes and can put you in touch with many local artists in a range of unique local crafts. There's even an Artists Trail.
Surfing
Everyone knows Raglan is famous for its unique left hand break. In summer there's surf competitions. Try out Manu & Whale Bay and the Indicators. Just don't forget to read the signs about the local surfing etiquette.
Sunsets
West coast sunsets are to die for. Ours are famous. People come to get married at sunset or just take a picnic dinner at sit out at Ngarunui Reserve to watch nature in its total gorgeousness.
West Coasts
Raglan is on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island and our surf is the Tasman Sea. From Ngarunui Reserve you can view both up and down the West Coast for spectacular views. Take a picnic and enjoy the scenery.
Canyoning
There's some local spots for white water rafting including canyoning. Get in touch with Raglan Canyoning to join in the fun. Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. No experience needed.
Golf
Got the Golf bug? Raglan Golf Course is perfect for you. A fantastic course, perfect for the experienced or beginner. You can hire clubs and a tutor if necessary. Step out into the Raglan sunshine for a swing with friends.
Mt Karioi Hiking
Mt Karioi is our local Mountain which Raglan town sits beneath. There are hiking and bike trails for all levels of fitness. Spectacular views from the top. Always have a map and be ready for changes in the weather.
Soundsplash
Every year in mid January, Raglan hosts a weekend music festival called Soundsplash at the outdoor ampitheatre at Ngaranui Reserve. Great lineups of local and international bands with multiple stages. Extremely popular.
Raglan Wharf
Raglan Wharf hosts a range of art galleries, shops and potters. Hand crafted pottery can be purchased at Tony Sly Pottery. Raglan Fish serves the best fresh fish and chips in town where you can eat beside the water's edge.
Bridal Veil Falls
Bridal Veil Falls is a local natural waterfall that is a must see when in Raglan. It's a short drive out of Raglan township and an easy short walk to get amazing photos and views of this natural waterfall.

Love your coffee? Then don't miss the local brew made at Raglan Roast in Raglan township. Winter or summer, grab their smooth as coffee. Stay and take in a board game or chat to a local. A must experience.
