The student will create a digital story about her family's Hanukkah celebration using Book Creator. She will illustrate the story with a comic made in Pixton and add narration, providing authentic language and details. This project aligns with CCSS W.5.3 by encouraging students to write narratives that include effective technique, clear sequences, and relevant details.

Students first brainstormed ideas of what they would be comfortable sharing.

This project allowed the student to exercise choice in brainstorming and selecting a topic, fostering ownership of their learning. It also incorporated opportunities for self-reflection, encouraging deeper engagement with the content. The student's enthusiasm throughout the project demonstrated strong motivation and a positive attitude toward the learning process.
