Assessments

Formative/ Summative: Students self edit their responses and share with peers. Mini lesson given on adjectives. One on one conferencing with each student for writing, and verbal responses.

Description

Students have been working on the theme of Challenges. After reading the poem “ The Road Not Taken”, students discussed difficult choices and decisions they and their families made. (The challenge was moving to America)

Content

I can create and design presentations and projects to display and prove evidence of my work alone or collaboratively.

Procedure

Students will use Nearpod to respond to various prompts regarding feelings and emotions,by using adjectives. They will then discuss aloud and respond to how another student went out of their way to make them feel “a part of/ welcomed”, students will share with each other in the ENL classroom. Students will then present a question to students in their ELA classroom- How did someone go out of their way to make you feel comfortable or apart of?
