Description
Students in grades K-2 created an ABC book of nouns. The topic of nouns was introduced to the students prior to the Book Creator project. There were multiple lessons and activities that led up to the group project. The students chose vocabulary and wrote about it. Some students did some research on a website and other students looked through books. Some students wrote about vocabulary that was familiar to them and others did not. Most students used the search for images icon to find pictures while other students drew pictures or used photos. Students worked together sharing ideas, materials and peer editing. This project was a culmination of using technology, vocabulary, speaking, reading, writing and listening. The students presented their work to the group. Each student in the group audience offered a positive response - compliment.

Reflection
The students enjoyed working on this project. The project is a culmination of three grades at all different proficiency levels. Students worked well together and produced a published piece that can be viewed on an ipad and smartboard in our classroom. Book Creator is an app that is student friendly for young grades. The students followed directions well and many of them were able to use Book Creator with independence.
