The lesson began with vocabulary front-loaded, a read aloud of "Goldilocks and The Three Bears" by James Marshall. Then we did questioning, discussions, story retell, more discussions about a new ending, teacher modeling the writing activity for a new ending, students write a new ending, checklists, and illustrations.
Book Creator:
I showed students books in Book Creator.
Demonstrated and discussed the different tools to use in Book Creator.
Students individually practiced using the tools on the SmartBoard.
Once students understood what the tools were and how to use them, they began to illustrate their stories.
The students were fully engaged in all facets of the learning experience and enjoyed using the technology.
Some students needed more time and further explanation and assistance to comprehend and complete the activities.
